At KC Credit Services, one of the primary things we do is to help you understand the complicated maze of credit.
We have provided a good start on educational subjects on this website, and will continue to add content to these pages as time goes by and new things occur.
Following is a list of the subjects currently available. You may click on the link to access that particular chapter, or you can choose from a dropdown menu on the Home Page.

Credit Restoration
When the three major credit reporting agencies (CRA’s or Bureaus) started collecting and reporting data earlier in the 19th century, the public found that inaccuracies abounded.
So Congress started taking notice due to the complaints of their constituents. In 1970, they passed the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It has had a profound effect on the public’s ability to correct errors. Over the years, it has become more and more complicated. In this section, we provide insights on today’s methods.
Credit Scoring
Many years ago, merchants wanted to offer their products and services to the populace, but realized there were a number of people who needed to “run a tab”.
They didn’t have ready cash to pay for the items they needed, mainly food and tools, clothing and toiletries because they were mostly farmers who only harvested their crops once per year. They had to wait until they sold their crop to pay their “tab”. The merchants needed to find a way to determine which people were likely to pay their “tab” at a future date, and which ones were less like to do so. Find out how they do it.
Your Money
Many of our customers ask us to enlighten them about various uses of money, from how to teach your kids about money, to how to buy a car. In this section, some of the most popular subjects are presented.
More Articles
As new subjects come up about money and credit, such as identity theft, we present timely articles about those subjects in this section.
